Embark on an unforgettable journey through Morocco’s southern landscapes on this 5-day adventure from Marrakech to the vast Sahara Desert. The Rota Tuareg takes you across the majestic High Atlas Mountains, through historic kasbahs, and into the heart of Berber culture. Sleep under the stars in a traditional desert camp, ride camels across golden dunes, and discover ancient gorges and valleys. Perfect for those seeking cultural immersion, scenic beauty, and the magic of the desert.

Itinerario

Day 1 – Marrakech to Ouarzazate

Upon arrival at Marrakech airport, our driver will be waiting with a TRILHO SALAMA sign. Transfer in a comfortable vehicle (4×4, bus, or van) toward Ouarzazate, crossing the scenic High Atlas Mountains.
Enjoy the winding roads and breathtaking views of Berber villages and dramatic landscapes.
Arrival in Ouarzazate by late afternoon.

Day 2 – Ouarzazate to Sahara Desert

After breakfast, we begin our journey towards the Desierto del Sáhara, passing through the spectacular Draa Valley, one of the largest oases in North Africa.
En route, we’ll see Tamnougalt y Alnif, with a proposed stop for lunch in a local restaurant.
Arrival at the edge of the Erg Chebbi dunes where the camels will be waiting to take you into the golden desert.
Experience a magical sunset during your camel trek into the heart of the dunes.
Dinner by candlelight under the stars.

Day 3 – Sahara Desert to Dades Gorges

Optional sunrise viewing from the top of the dunes – a spectacular and peaceful experience.
After breakfast, we travel to the dramatic Todra Gorges, with walls reaching up to 300 meters high.
Stop for lunch (optional) in a local restaurant.
Continue to the beautiful Dades Valley, with its winding roads, unique rock formations, and red cliffs.

Day 4 – Dades Gorges to Marrakech

After breakfast, explore more of the Dades Gorges, then drive along the famous Road of a Thousand Kasbahs.
Visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Ben Haddou, a historic fortified village and popular film location.
Lunch stop at a local restaurant.
Cross the High Atlas Mountains once again, returning to Marrakech by late afternoon.

Day 5 – Marrakech / Airport
